CIVITAS quiz a hit on European Road Safety Day in Ljubljana

CIVITAS Initiative

On European Road Safety Day, which took place on 13 October 2010, the main street through Ljubljana’s centre, Slovenska cesta, was closed. Many institutions on the area presented their efforts to increase road safety and improve traffic education, and around 2,000 pupils participated in filming a documentary about traffic victims on the spot.

The CIVITAS ELAN group was also present at an info point; it provided information about the project and distributed the promotional material. The project team organised a “wheel of fortune”, a prize-quiz, which turned out to be a hit among visitors. Many children were excited to answer questions about the project, mobility, traffic, environment, road safety and health, in return for CIVITAS ELAN gadgets. The interest exceeded all expectations, and the team quickly ran out of promotional material.
